Red Root is a bitter, astringent root that contains ceanothine and tannin constituents, and can support healthy teeth and gums. Red Root has been used topically on the skin to promote a healthy glow, and it also supports healthy circulation of blood and lymph.

Red Root makes a deep red tincture that is sometimes associated with healthy blood. This root promotes circulation of both blood and lymph. It can support healthy skin and gums as well. The leaves of this plant taste somewhat similar to tea, and it was used by some Americans as a tea replacement during the Revolutionary War.

Red Root is found mainly in western North America; we source our red root from Canada. We receive this herb dry and activate the many beneficial properties within the plant through our extraction process.
